The Chemical Brothers es un dúo inglés, formado por Tom Rowlands y Ed Simons (cuyos nombres completos son Thomas Owen Mostyn Rowlands y Edmund John Simons), que compone música electrónica. Al principio se hicieron llamar "The Dust Brothers" pero tuvieron que cambiar de nombre dado que ya había otro grupo en Estados Unidos con el mismo nombre. Conocidos por sus actuaciones en vivo, junto con The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim y otros más, fueron los pioneros del género Big Beat.

"Block Rockin' Beats" is the second single from electronic music group The Chemical Brothers taken from the second album Dig Your Own Hole. It was released in March 1997 and reached #1 in the UK. In the United States, it charted at #40 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. It also received a Grammy award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.


The drums are samples from "Them Changes" by Bernard Purdie. The vocals, "Back with another one of those block rockin' beats" is a sample from American rapper Schoolly D's 1989 song "Gucci Again".
