In Your Honor es el quinto álbum de Foo Fighters, editado el 13 de junio del 2005 en el Reino Unido y un día después en los Estados Unidos. Se trata de un álbum doble, con un primer disco que contiene las típicas canciones de rock de Foo Fighters y un segundo que incluye canciones más acústicas y tranquilas.


Como cada año por estas fechas algo que recordar, sino yo no estuviera aquí física y mucho menos virtualmente hablando por todo ello ...

La entrega de la semana pasada {que por cierto apenas hoy la saqué jeje} fue de los Foo Fighters con su disco doble títulado In Yoy Honor, esa vez empecé del disco 2, hora toca el turno a el disco 1 (download it over here) con el siguiente tracklist:

Este cd 1 se escucha con mucho más ruido y potencia en sus canciones en comparación con la parte 2 que para mi gusto es más light, pero aún así rifa bastante.

Foo Fighters es una banda de origen estadounidense creada en el año 1995 por Dave Grohl, ex-baterista de Nirvana.


La banda ha conseguido varios reconocimientos y han marcado muchísimos éxitos alrededor del mundo, tales como "Big Me", "This is a Call", "Everlong", "Monkey Wrench", "Learn to Fly", "All My Life", "Times Like These", "Best of You", "D.O.A.", "No Way Back", "The Pretender", que alcanzó el puesto N° 1 en los Hot Modern Rock Tracks el sábado 1 de septiembre del 2007 y se mantuvo como número 1 por 18 semanas consecutivas. Su último single es "Let it Die".

{In Your Honor}















El día 14 de junio de 2005 salió a la venta In Your Honor. Dave Grohl admitió que estaba enojado consigo mismo ya que había grabado muy rápido el disco One by One y no le gustó el contenido; así pues le puso más atención a éste nuevo. Según sus palabras, Dave Grohl dijo: "Si dentro de 20 años un hijo le pregunta a su padre: '¿Conoces a los Foo Fighters? ¿Qué disco debería tener?'; sin duda alguna la respuesta sería "In Your Honor". Con esta declaración Dave Grohl dejó más que claro que este disco es el primero que ha realizado con tanto trabajo y que le parece simplemente fenomenal.


Este álbum se destaca por ser un disco doble: en el primer disco se puede notar bastante influencia del heavy metal, especialmente en canciones como Free Me, aunque las demás están dentro de los parámetros del hard rock; entre ellas sobresale No Way Back, Best of You, End Over End o D.O.A.


En el segundo disco se pueden notar influencias del rock alternativo, además de tener formato acústico: es más relajante y melancólico que el anterior, y por momentos la voz de Grohl se asemeja a la de un trovador; las canciones más destacables son: Miracle, Over and Out, Friend of a Friend o Virginia Moon, con Norah Jones.
